For some times, I’ve had this idea to monitor and automate the requirements to grow plants. The ultimate, and irrealist goal would be to be able to seal a container with enough water, energy and whatever else the plants needs, and be able to launch it into space and have the plants continue to grow indefinitely.

The intermediary goal, in the mean time, is just to find a cure to my pathological and all too frequent oversight of watering, in the form of an automatic watering system.
